Walking Shark Productions

Walking Shark Productions spent several weeks filming the waters from the Emerald City of Seattle, Washington up to Port Hardy, Vancouver. The water is never warm here. Late in the year, Northwest waters become cold enough to prevent plankton from blooming.

Then the waters clear to reveal stunning colors and exceptional visibility, rivaling the tropics. Their excerpt contains footage of the very beautiful Hooded nudibranchs and colorful Puget Sound King Crab.

Mark Rackley is one of the most sought after underwater cameramen in the television industry.  Mark uses his skills as a freediver to shoot close encounters not normally possible with the use of SCUBA. His footage has been featured on National Geographic, ESPN, the History Channel and all major networks.  He produced Extreme Contact for the Animal Planet, participated in many Discovery Channel productions and has filmed many commercials for the marine sports industry.

Ben Sampson has been filming professionally since he was 16 years old. At 19, he filmed and produced a documentary on the World Sailfish Championship that was aired on Versus and Fox Sports Network. That success led to work filming and editing for television and commercial production. Ben is also a champion kiteboarder and now spends part of his time filming and promoting the sport.
